You're at the bottom, working 30 to 40 hours a week, and I'm going to teach you how to work your way up in ten steps. Please don't misunderstand me. Do not believe that starting a business from the ground up is simple. When you break things down into steps, it's simpler to grasp, but it takes time. It requires time, patience, tenacity, and diligence, among other things. So don't dismiss what I'm trying to convey or believe it's simple to jump into a business; instead, I'll walk you through the stages so you can better grasp it. The easiest way to tackle a small business is to do one item at a time. So, first and foremost, what kind of business do you want to start? So you've come down here to find out what kind of business I want to start?

Okay. So that's where we are now. Now. Of course, the reason I ask is because are you planning to establish a food business? Are you planning on starting a food truck business? Are you planning to open an online e-commerce store? Do you want to design and sell items to retailers? Whatever it is that you want to accomplish. That is something you should consider when you sit down to brainstorm and consider what type of business you want to establish. Now, here are a few pointers on the subject. It's always ideal to go for something you like when starting a business. Maybe there's something you're really excellent at, but you haven't pursued it as a company yet because you need to learn more. When you start a small business from the ground up, you will devote the majority of your spare time to it. And we're going to talk about ways to free up more time so you can focus on building and growing your business.

It has to be something you're passionate about and enthusiastic about. Now, a lot of people tell me, Damien, that enterprises which people are enthusiastic about can't earn money are nonsense. Anyone who tells you that the thing you're enthused about and passionate about can't turn into a full-time business has never built a business from the ground up. You must discover what motivates you to get up early and keeps you awake late at night. For me, the thing that drives you is the food industry and the food business, since that's what I've been around for the most of my life. And I genuinely like what I do. Now. I took it and turned it into a YouTube channel where I created hundreds of videos demonstrating how to establish a food company. That is my life's work. And it's something that has paid off for me.

Of course, I've been doing this for the past several years, and I'm not bored with it; in fact, I'm still thrilled about it. So, if you want to start a business, discover something you are passionate about and don't believe the bullshit that you can't make a profit from a passion for a specific sort of interest. Okay? So, what type of company do you want to start? Isn't that the first thing? How am I going to fit Damian into my 30-to-40-hour work week? I don't have much spare time. Stop telling yourself, "I need to find time," and start telling yourself, "I need to find time." There is no such thing as extra time. Each of us has 24 hours in a day. We do the same thing if you have to work and clearly have duties.

My second kid has arrived. We recently learned that we are expecting a second child. We're expecting our second kid. And I'm well aware that this will take more time from my day, but I'm not going to make extra time. I'm just going to organize my time so that I can use it properly and efficiently. Okay? Now, you might have to give up a lot of your free time that you used to spend watching TV. If you want to start a business, you'll need to step up your lifestyle and cut out on some of your current leisure activities. That is a natural element of the process of growth. A tiny business sacrifices one thing in order to get another, but as it grows and expands, that other will free up even more time because you'll be earning more money, and that money will allow you to do more things when you want to do them.

Okay? Stop reminding yourself that you need to make more time. There are no more hours in a day's 24 hours. You'll have to find out how to make it work better for you. So, once you've figured out step two, what type of business can I start now? You may establish a variety of enterprises online from your home office and upstairs. You may start an internet company if you have an additional spare room or anything. If you want to make a packaged food product, or a product in general, or if you want to develop anything, you'll need to know where to start. Now, if you're seeking to establish a food company, like most of the videos on our channel, you can do it from the comfort of your own home. It restricts the sorts of food and items you may create, as well as the locations where you can sell them. You may, however, create one from your own house. It's a lot less expensive than opening a commercial kitchen and generating a new recipe that you have to ProAct or have someone else manufacture. Many enterprises may be started from the comfort of your own home. With that in mind, decide where in your home will be your home office and set aside an area where you may begin. So now that you've decided what business to start, the next step is to figure out where to start.

Are you going to start from scratch?

So, after you've decided where to begin, you'll be ready to go on to the next step. This is quite important for the following phase, okay? Because some of the next steps that come to mind are in regards to permits, licenses, other insurances, and things of that nature, because almost every type of business that you're going to have requires some form of license permit, or even another insurance policy in order for you to run it legally and protect yourself from any potential litigation. But, number two, where do you begin? Third, how will this effect your way of life? Consider how you live your life today, because when you start a business, as you transition to working less and fewer hours, and eventually leaving, if it takes off and you operate your own business, it will have a significant impact on how you live your life. Many individuals don't consider this because they believe, "Well, it'll just replace my job, and I can work nine to five and put in a few hours and it'll make my life better," which is unrealistic. So, how will this impact your way of life? That brings us to numbers three, two, and one. So, number three, how would this impact your daily life?

So, you've reached the top of the stairwell and are on your way to your destination. Keep in mind that you do not need to devote 3, 4, 5, or 6 hours every day to begin your business. This is the momentum: taking these steps one at a time, learning what it takes to go to the next level. Every day, put in at least 30 minutes or 20 minutes into your new company venture. Keep in mind that this is a work in progress. Don't attempt to work against yourself by telling yourself, "Oh, well, I'm not getting anywhere." I'm only going to perform a 30-minute workout. It makes no difference. You may set aside 30 minutes or even an hour every day, two or three hours per week, but you've already begun. Excuse me, but your mind is made up. You worked out what business you're going to start, where you're going to start it, and how it'll effect your lifestyle and change things.

These are the items that will get the wheels turning. That's all part of the process of getting things started. As a result, make sure you're working with yourself rather than against yourself. Every step you take in the direction of your business is a step forward. Now that you've figured out the first three, you need to figure out what permissions, licenses, insurances, and certifications you'll need dependent on the sort of business you have. That's what you want to do if you're going to offer digital files and maybe be an affiliate marketer. Great. You'll need a different set of permissions and licenses than someone beginning a food company from home, where you may be required to get a kitchen inspection. If you have a certain sort of insurance, find out what permissions, licenses, and insurances your sector requires. Okay? So if it gets you to step four, knowing your permissions and licenses based on the sort of business and insurance, that's great.

You're probably thinking to yourself, "Well, Damien, if I establish an affiliate marketing business, we'll end up selling things on Amazon." I'm not the one who makes them; I'm merely the one who flips them. I'm merely buying things and planning to open an eBay business; Etsy may not be necessary. Make sure you have insurance for your business and that your LLC is set up. Make sure you're incorporated, regardless of the sort of business you're doing or where it's located. Because if you're not real and legal, and there are implications for selling anything that injures someone, or if someone has a problem eating one of your items and becomes ill, or whatever the case may be, you might face a lawsuit or potential litigation. As a sole proprietor, you don't want to do this. I personally do not advise sole proprietorships or any other type of business. Yes, you can do that, but you are responsible for the laws and duties, not your corporate organization.

Permits, licenses, and insurance are the fifth and last items on the list. So, if you're manufacturing a food product, what materials, equipment, or ingredients will you require? Also, any equipment and INTA materials that you'll need to make this product. Now, if you're going down a different path and developing software or digital downloads, you obviously won't have a physical, tangible product, but you'll still build it. So you need to figure out what type of software or other digital items you'll require to be successful in this business? So, number five, what kind of supplies or equipment will I require expressly for this business? Okay. In the world, there are only two sorts of enterprises. They are selling in person. You can sell either a product or a service. Even if it's consulting, figure out what sort of software you'll need to run your business at your office, such as managing client bills, or if you're doing consulting, figure out what certifications or other credentials you'll need.

And this would be in terms of what supplies, equipment, or other items you'd require to get to the next level. Okay. Sixth, how are you going to market this product or service? There are a million different methods to sell everything in 20 22, 20 23, 20 22, there are a million different ways to sell everything in 20 22, 20 23, 20 22, there are a million different ways to sell everything in 20 22, 20 23, 20 22, there are a million different It's true, believe it or not. Are you intending to sell it on Amazon yourself? Are you going to make a Shopify website, for example? Are you going to sell it on Facebook or another social media platform? You may now run a business just on social media, offering everything from products to services. It's not even necessary. Are you planning to start a blog? Are you intending to develop a physical product and have it transported to a retail outlet on your behalf? How are you going to reach out to individuals if you're a consultant? Okay. So, what's the plan? How are you going to market it?

If you're a consultant and want to build a network on LinkedIn, for example, or have your own website, social media can help. That is what you must determine. So how are you going to sell it if it's never six? Okay. If you're selling actual goods, I'd advise you to take advantage of current online platforms. That is to say, not Shopify, but Amazon. Evey, Etsy, Bonanza, and Waller.com are just a few examples. Customers are already built in to those platforms if you're offering something physical. As I've indicated in several of my films about the line's market, you may really tap into an established consumer base. This is fantastic since building a website seems nice and exciting, but getting visitors to it is another matter entirely. Converting involves convincing a consumer to buy something you don't want to go about, beginning a business, and obtaining a lot of thumbs up on Facebook in the form of likes, hearts, and other such things.

That is just rubbish. That isn't going to make you any money. That is a complete waste of time. And if you're more interested in that than in producing money, you shouldn't start a business. So you can sell your digital downloads on these existing sites, like Etsy, which is a large marketplace for digital downloads. Ebay. It may also be used to sell digital files. It makes no difference what the product or service is. There's always a platform with existing consumers and traffic to plug into. Make relationships online with the first number seven. Making relationships either before or after you publish a physical product or even a service is one of the fastest methods to launch a physical product or even a service. You'll have to make those connections as you go. Making relationships on LinkedIn is one of the finest ways to do it. LinkedIn is, without a doubt, a mind-blowing machine. It's incredible.

If you're a consultant, Linkedin is fantastic. LinkedIn has around 700 million active members worldwide. I'm confident you'll be able to locate a few hundred thousand or maybe a million clients for your niche product or service. Fill up all of the information on LinkedIn, which has a terrific page dedicated to your business. Let them know who you are, what you provide, your history, your experience, and some of the graphics and information we've already developed. In only two years, we've amassed almost 10,000 food industry relationships on LinkedIn, which we use to promote food online for our YouTube channel. LinkedIn is one of the ways we expanded our channel. Every day, we publish new posts and material. Yes, each and every day. As a result, LinkedIn and other social media-related sites are excellent venues to create relationships. When you're just starting out, it might help you get your product or service in front of as many people as possible.

As a result, bear this in mind. This network is a gold mine, and it's completely free. By the way, it just takes a few minutes. As I previously stated, you are aware of your timetable and the window within which you work each week. If you can set aside 30 minutes every day, that's excellent. If you only have 15 minutes, seize it, put it to good use, and do it every day. As time passes, your firm expands, and income begins to flow in. That'll save you even more time because you'll be able to reduce your work hours as a result. Okay? So, if you work 30 to 40 hours a week, I understand. I worked in retail for almost 25 years, and we were required to work a minimum of 40 hours each week. So I understand the difficulties of working full-time while attempting to start a business.

But if you really want it, if you're really committed to it, follow these steps, a couple of them at a time, and you'll get to this stage of owning your own firm. Next up, number eight, outsource activities that you're not excellent at. One of the most beautiful aspects of living in 2022 is having access to so many platforms, such as fiber upward. All of these platforms can help you reduce the amount of work you have to complete. So, if you can outsource for $20, $30, $40, or $50 here and there, and have other individuals doing things for you to help develop your firm, you can get into the market much faster. Furthermore, many of them know what they're doing. You don't have to be a graphic designer to conceive of yourself as a product developer, a label designer, or a logo designer, and know how to operate your firm and handle all of the bookkeeping.

That is something that some individuals do. The more people you can get into your type of web, if you want to call it that, or your mastermind group, if you want to call it that, the better off you'll be in the long run, in terms of helping you launch much faster, and getting to and out of this place. Okay? So, if you're not excellent at something, outsource it. Hey, don't believe you're a wonderful logo if you need a logo for your product or if you need a logo for your consulting firm. For $30, hire a graphic designer to do it on fiber. You'll need a virtual assistant if you want to get additional work from Upwork. Someone must answer your phone calls, provide customer support, and respond to emails. You won't be able to do everything. Outsource it to someone on Upwork to take care of it while you're attempting to establish another brand or a business. Outsourcing tasks at the start-up of your small business will help you get there faster.

Create, number nine. You must also build a page on each network's social media site. It's not necessary to pursue every single social networking outlet. And what I mean is, I'll explain in a moment. You should be active on social media, including Facebook, Twitter, and everything in between. Please accept my apologies for my scrawl. That's all there is to it. And, as I have stated, LinkedIn, this would only imply one thing. The more places you are on the internet, the better off your business and brand will be. On all of these social media sites, you may reach hundreds of millions of individuals, which is a huge advantage. But, in my opinion, you should concentrate your efforts on only two. I constantly say this because two platforms, Facebook and Twitter, have been the advantage for us, the finest venues for our specialized products, through our canyon stack company and our YouTube channel, even after 12 years.

Can you start a business while working a job

Every month, nearly 400,000 individuals visit our Pinterest page to view our pages and pins. That's also a fantastic approach to market your goods. As a result, establish a social media presence. It may be 10, 15 minutes every other day, maybe 30 minutes a week, simply 30 minutes a week after you've focused your efforts and energies. Begin creating content for your product or service, whatever your small business is. I don't care if you're selling digital downloads on Etsy; you need to be tweeting about it on Twitter, Facebook, and other social media platforms. You don't have to be on there for an hour every day. That is not what I am implying. A few minutes here and there will add up, but consistency will provide benefits. So be on Facebook, Twitter, and all of the other social media sites on a regular basis.

You don't have to always develop a bunch of material or some fantastic YouTube videos. You just need to put up some material, whatever your small business's product or service is, and figure out and test what sort of content performs best. We utilize a lot of video material, video clips, and video information is easy to absorb for your consumer, your customer. They are able to see it. You are not required to read it. It's not necessary for you to consider it. You may show them pictures. You may send them SMS messages. You have the ability to provide them with information. They hear it, see it, and are free to go on. That's a significant benefit. And that's something that's been fast increasing in recent years; video material is lot better. You may make short movies to explain your services if you're offering consulting services.

If you're producing a product for Amazon, some of the clients you've worked with have a two- or three-minute film on YouTube. You may connect it to your social media profiles and establish a social media presence. Finally, now that you've figured out a lot of stuff and are ready to go, number ten is to go live. Simply begin promoting your goods or service. Stop ruminating on it too much. Don't only ponder these issues. Take action and launch it based on these points. After that, you'll be running your own business in a matter of months, if not weeks. After that, you may tell your boss to leave you alone. I'm done working for you 40 hours a week. I'm going to work 40, 50, or even 60 hours a week for myself because I enjoy what I do and it pays well.

And if you work full-time, you may start your business this way. So, can you establish a full-time small business? You can surely do so. You must devote time to it and recognize that you have the ability to be either your best friend or your worst adversary. You must exercise patience with yourself. Take these stairs one at a time, climb that ladder to this part, because I can assure you that I've had a lot more excitement, a lot more ups and downs in the last 12 years. I'm not going to tell you anything. It'll always be up, up, up, but owning a business comes with a lot of ups and downs. But, guess what? It belongs to me. It's an experience that my wife and I have built for ourselves. Except for me, no one else does it. As a result, it allows me to think for myself, do for myself, and grow a business on my own.

There's no limit to what you can achieve. What you can accomplish is limitless. Stop listening to negative garbage from your friends or relatives telling you that you're insane, even in 2022. Everything you've heard about the economy, this, and that has nothing to do with what you're capable of. So if you want to think all those bad thoughts to yourself all the time, you'll never get there. You must think beyond the box in order to succeed. Think for yourself, set aside all of the junk, and take little moves. I'm not suggesting that you cash in your 401(k) and max up your credit cards the next day. Make use of your intellect. Consider only one item at a time. And you're going to get there every time you perform one of these things. There's no doubt about it. So that's how you get your small business off the ground. We've been working full-time for a while now. Please leave any questions or comments regarding these instructions in the comments section below. Also, as always, check out the description area for a plethora of other materials, as well as our other YouTube channels. There are six or seven of us. I had forgotten how many YouTube channels we had. Take a look at the other channels, and I'll see you on the next one.
