Hello, Thank you for this. To apply for approval to sell food, there are two options: a manufacturer or a distributor. For people who have their own private label on food but they produce via another manufacturer in another country. Should they choose a distributor or a manufacturer option when they apply for approval? Thank you
That's actually a really good question as a matter of fact so if you are the maker of the product but you simply have a co-packer or someone producing your private label product you would in essence be the manufacturer of the product itself not a distributor I just didn't know it would technically be the person that would be buying someone else's product either in bulk or just purchasing products from
other retail store Wholesale Club and then reselling it then at that point you would just be a distributor of a product. But if you're having a company make it and is your company's product and your brand you should choose the manufacturer at that point though they may ask you to also show invoices ingredients listings of all of that kind of product paperwork in order to prove that the product is yours just to ensure that it's not the product resold from someone else's brand. Thank you for asking
How do you get Hygiene graded?
Do you need permits to sell in certain places?
Do you have to have a food license
That's a great question thanks for asking about this when you get your food truck you will apply for an inspection from the health department they are going to give you normally a list of what they'll need you to follow in the guidelines every city and county actually is a
little bit different but in general they'll have a list of what they will expect when they do their first inspection and from there they will give you a full report of a inspections some states do it as a graded process and some do not mostly it's restaurants or cafes where it is a food service business sitting down inside you'll get a grade as well sometimes they don't they'll simply just give you an AI there pass or fail inspection
